This research entitled the techniques of creating humor in the discourse of Pak Guru
Inyong comic by Anggoro Ihank is a study that discrussed the technique of creating
humor in comic discourse. The study aimed to describe that humor creation
techniques used in Pak Guru Inyong’s comic. It implemented humor creation
techniques according to Arthur Asa Berger, viewed from the language, logic, identy,
and action. The data was collected from the observation method with the basic
techniqueof recording and observation nonparticipatory technique as the advanced
technique, then using the notin techniques to summarize the data. The resultsof the
data analysis discovered that Pak Guru Inyong’s comic implemented the technique of
creating humor from the language and logic. Thus, the researcher understood the
content of the humor used in Pak Guru Inyong comic by Anggoro Ihank and it can be
useful to give an insight into the humor in the comic.
