This study aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving ability of students viewed from the learning intensity and parents' economic level in grade X students of SMA N 1 Kemangkon. This was a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were students of grade X of Science class. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire on the learning intensity and economic level of parents, mathematical problem-solving ability tests, and interviews. The triangulation of technique was employed to validate the data. The results showed: (1) students with high, low, and moderate learning intensity were able to solve mathematical problem solving well. (2) students with parents of high economic levels were able to solve problems solving well.
