This research is entitled Descriptive Study on the Implementation of Clean and
Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) in PAUD Institutions during COVID-19 Pandemic.
The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation and the obstacles of
PHBS in PAUD during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research used descriptive
qualitative research methods. The data analysis technique used in this study was
data triangulation. The data collection method using observation, interviews, and
documentation. The object of this research was TK Pertiwi Kaliwedi, Kebasen
District, Banyumas Regency. The research subjects consisted of 12 informants.
The result of the study shows that the implementation of PHBS in TK Pertiwi
Kaliwedi in the COVID-19 pandemic is carried out well. It is proved by the
presence of 5 PHBS activities done by students under the instruction of teachers
and parental guidance. Those 5 PHBS activities include washing hands using
soap, consuming and drinking healthy food (nutritious), brushing teeth,
maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the environment, and maintaining physical
health. The internal obstacles encountered are coming from students'
backgrounds, needs, and unfulfilled supporting facilities to implement PHBS at
home. Meanwhile, the external obstacles to implement PHBS during the COVID-
19 pandemic are the absence of parents due to their routine work and also the
attitude of parents who are overprotective and spoil their children too much.
