Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social studies learning based on
Al-Qur'an values on spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and learning
motivation of class VII A students at Muhammadiyah Sokaraja Middle School.
This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method.
The study population was students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah Sokaraja
who took samples in class VII A, amounting to 30 children. The sampling
technique used is cluster sampling and saturated or census sampling. Data
collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires. The data obtained
were then analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, the ANOVA
table linearity test and the hypothesis test with moment product correlation and
simple linear regression.
The results of the research that have been conducted show that social studies
learning based on Al-Qur'an values have a positive effect on spiritual intelligence,
emotional intelligence and learning motivation of Grade VII A students of
Muhammadiyah Sokaraja Middle School. The influence of social studies learning
based on the Qur'an on spiritual intelligence 13.7%, on emotional intelligence by
31.8% and on student motivation by 21%. The biggest influence of social studies
learning based on Al-Qur'an values is the emotional intelligence of students. The
results also showed that through social studies based on the values of the Qur'an
an increase in students' spiritual intelligence from 46.60 to 47.87 (an increase of
1.87), emotional intelligence of students increased from 84.37 to 87.37 ( an
increase of 3.00) and student learning motivation increased from 43.63 to 47.27
(an increase of 3.64). Student achievement has also increased from an average
value of 70.60 to 82.47 (an increase of 11.87) and students who completed the
KKM by 100%.
The study concludes that the learning of social studies based on Al-Qur'an
values has a positive effect in increasing spiritual intelligence, emotional
intelligence and learning motivation of students of class VIIA Muhammadiyah
Middle School Sokaraja.
