Abstract

The learning of Indonesian must always be improved by using learning media that can facilitate teachers in delivering subject matter by using information and communication technology (ICT). Therefore, the skill to use information technology is a fundamental skill for all Indonesian teachers who want to improve their knowledge and knowledge. This study aims to determine the understanding, attitudes and skills of Indonesian language subject teachers in Junior High Schools in Banjarnegara Regency in the use of information technology. This research is a field research which is collected in the field or research location using quantitative survey methods. Data obtained from respondents were analyzed using statistical calculation methods and crosstab (cross tabulation). The population in this study were Indonesian language teachers in Banjarnegara Regency, which amounted to 148 people, the authors took a purposive sampling sample of 25% of 148 populations or 37 people with certain considerations. Data collection techniques used are tests to measure teachers 'understanding of the use of information technology, questionnaires to measure attitudes and teachers' use of information technology and documentation. Before being used for research, the research instrument had gone through a process of testing the validity and reliability. The results obtained showed that the understanding of teachers in the high category were 7 or 18.9%, then those included in the medium category were 25 teachers or 67.6% and teachers included in the low category were 5 teachers or 13.5%. The highest frequency is in the medium category at 67.7%, so it can be concluded that the teacher's understanding is moderate. the attitudes of teachers in the high category were 4 or 10.8%, then those in the medium category were 30 teachers or 81.1% and the teachers in the low category were 3 teachers or 8.1%. The highest frequency is in the moderate category at 81.1%, so it can be concluded that the teacher's attitude is moderate. teacher skills included in the high category as many as 6 or 16.2%, then those included in the medium category were 26 teachers or 70.3% and teachers who were in the low category were 5 teachers or 13.5%. The highest frequency is in the medium category which is 70.3%, so it can be concluded that the teacher's skills are moderate.
