The decriptive qualitative research aimwd to find out online thematic learning for the fifth graden of SD Negeri 1 Pepedan the covid- 19 pandemic. The fact showed there were some teachers who had not been able to apply information tecnology in online thematic learning. Yet, most teachers in this primary school had been able to apply the information technology and master the competencies. This research involved the school principal, teacher, and students as the samples. The data were collacted using interviews, questionnairres, and documentation, while the data validity tests were the souce and technique riangulation. The data were then analyzed using the Miles Huberman Model consisting of data colection, data reduction, data display, and conclution. The results showed that the online thematic learning for the fifth graden of Sd Negeri 1 Pepedan using the scientific approach is still not implemented optimally, there is stil much that needs to be improved even though learning is carried out online. However, there still some obstacles, in the implementation of this online thematic learning. The obstacles included the different quality of students’s internet connection, limited internet quoata, gadget (mobile phone) ownership, and the lack os student, parents, and teracher’ ability to operate IT. On the other hand, there were also supporting factors of this online thematic learning which included the availability of facilities and infrastructures. Based on the result, it is expected that the school can guide and pay attention to the teachers who are not able to apply information technology and improve the teachers’ competencies.
