Critical Analysis of the Among System Based Character Development Model in SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen. Primary Education Masters Program Study Program, Postgraduate Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto, January 2020. The formulation of the problems in this research are: 1) How is the system-based character development among at Muhammadiyah Elementary School, Kebumen, 2) What are the obstacles faced in the system-based character development among at SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen. These problems are discussed using a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The method used by researchers to obtain data is the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. This research shows that the among system based character development model in SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen is implemented through: (a) determining character-based educational goals, (b) determining the character values to be developed, (c) compiling a character education-based curriculum, (d) ) inculcating character in learning activities, (e) habituation activities, (f) coaching activities, (g) through extracurricular activities, (h) teachers provide learning that can increase knowledge about character in students, (i) teachers give orders and punishments when students abuse their freedom, (j) the teacher educates with love, (k) the teacher applies the trilogy of Ki Hajar Dewantara's leadership in educating, namely ing ngarsa sung tuladha (in front of being an example), ing madya building initiative (in the middle of providing motivation), and tut wuri handayani (providing support behind). Constraints in character development based on the among system at SD Muhammadiyah Kebumen include: (1) the lack of harmony between education in the family and education at school, (2) the negative influence of the community environment in which students hang out and play, (3) the commitment of the teacher in implementing the among system is still not optimal.
