Abstract
Basically, people tend to get a loss when dealing with unexpected incidents.
Insurance is one of the choices people recently make to protect or avoid risks
which might harm them in the future. That growing mindset leads companies to
provide insurance for the employees to guarantee their safety. Related to this,
the government officials (ASN) is one of the most in-demand professions in
Indonesia. This was an empirical research dealing with the phenomenon of life
insurance of the government officials. The results of the research showed that
the procedure of the payment of life insurance claim was conducted in some
steps: the heir bringing the requirements, the verification, and the financial
section paying the insurance premium. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced during
the payment of the claim were the incomplete documents, the heir's information,
and the loss of the member card.
