The aim of this research was to investigate the teacher’s politeness strategy in EFL classroom. The method of the research was an observation. The object of the research was the teachers at SMK Karya Teknologi 2 Jatilawang. This reserach was to investigate teacher utterances that teachers used in teaching activities that felt into the category of FTA type theory. Those, it can be concluded that the teacher employed four strategies of politeness on FTA (Face-Threatening Acts) in teaching and learning process, namely Bald on Record, Positive Politeness, Negative Politeness and Off Record.
