The study was entitled An Analysis of Language Style in Semar
Yes! by Budi Maryono. This study aimed to describe the language style in
Short Story Compilation Semar Yes!
This research is a qualitative research. The study applied stylistic
approach. The stylistic approach was used to analyze the language style in Short
Story Compilation Semar Yes!. The object of this research is the style of
language in the Short Story Compilation Semar Yes!. The data in this study are
in the form of text in the form of words, sentences or expressions containing
language style in Semar Yes!.And the source is Short Story Compilation Semar
Yes!. Data collection techniques are carried out by reading and note-taking
techniques. The data analysis technique was done through three processes,
including: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing / verification).
The research resulted that six styles of language were found based on the direct or
indirect meaning of the stories written by Budi Maryono, namely the rhetorical
language style including hyperbole, euphemism, paradox, litotes. Figurative
language styles include metaphors and personification. The type of hyperbole
language style was most commonly found in Short Story Compilation Semar
Yes!.
