This research was motivated by the importance of the discipline character in daily
life, however, in fact discipline is not a character that can be formed by itself but it requires habituation and inculcation. The determination of SD Negeri 1
Karanggayam as the place to conduct the research is due to the recommendation from UPTD as the best-disciplined school in Karanggayam sub-district. This
study aims to describe the nurturing of discipline character education of students in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum through various processes of habituation and coaching in SD Negeri 1 Karanggayam. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the nurturing of discipline character education in the implementation of the 2013
Curriculum in SD Negeri 1 Karanggayam is well, consistent and consistent. Forms of discipline are carried out in various ways such as routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary and conditioning.
