Abstract

Learning listening is a learning that requires the accuracy of learning strategies.
The right method is one important thing in the succes of learning to listen.
This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Contextual Teaching
Learning method to motivation and the ability to listen to study students SD
Negeri 1 Palumbungan Purbalingga. This research uses quantitative approach
with quasi experiment method. The subject of this study were students of SD
Negeri 1 Palumbungan and Elementary School Palumbungan Wetan, Class III
elementary school amounted to 40 people. The sample of experimental group,
class III SD Negeri 1 Palumbungan, amounted to 20 students and control
group, class III SD Negeri Palumbungan Wetan amounted to 20 students. The
data were collected using questionnaire and test. Questionnaire on the scale of
attitude digunakat to know the motivation to learn. The test is a question of
urian used to know the ability of students in listening. Data were analyzed by
using t test. The results showed that the implementation of CTL model directed
model has an influence on the ability of listening and motivation to study the
students of SD Negeri 1 Palumbungan. This is evidenced by the value of t-test
is greater than the value of t-table at 95% confidence level. The application of
CTL model of directional model has an influence on the ability of listening
students of SD Negeri 1 Palumbungan. This is evidenced by the value of t-test
is greater than the value of t-table at 95% confidence level. Thus the hypothesis
that the CTL model directed model can increase the motivation and listening
ability in students of SD Negeri 1 Palumbungan accepted.
