Abstract

Background: Children who receive medical treatment at the hospital for about 3-5 days will experience separation from their environment where they feel safe and comfortable, namely home, playground, and friends. the condition felt by the child is an inpatient process (Fatriansari, 2019). In preschool children who experience being treated in a hospital, of course it will cause anxiety, one of which is not fulfilling the child's own emotional needs. If the child refuses medical treatment, it will have a major effect on the process of care and treatment (Zubdatani, 2015).
General Objectives: To find out the application of origami games to the anxiety of preschool children during treatment at the Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital.
Research Results: Before the implementation of playing origami, all research respondents (100.0%) were in the moderate anxiety category, whereas after the application of playing origami, there were 40.0% of respondents with mild anxiety and the remaining 60.0% were still in the moderate anxiety category. The application of playing origami is effectively used to reduce the anxiety level of preschool children during treatment at the Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital (p value = 0.001)
