This research, titled "Wayang Dalang Ayatun (Puppets performed by Ayatun Puppeteer) and Santri Kalimosodo in Somawangi Village, Mandiraja District, Banjarnegara Regency (2019-2023)," aims to: (1) Uncover the history of the establishment of Wayang Dalang Ayatun and Santri Kalimosodo in Somawangi Village, Mandiraja District, Banjarnegara Regency in 2019; (2) Analyze the development of Wayang Dalang Ayatun and Santri Kalimosodo in Somawangi Village, Mandiraja District, Banjarnegara Regency; and (3) Describe the social impact of the emergence of Wayang Dalang Ayatun and Santri Kalimosodo in Somawangi Village, Mandiraja District, Banjarnegara Regency. The methodology employed in this study is historical research, which includes four research steps: (1) Heuristics, Interviews, observations, and documentation were used to collect data; (2) External criticism (examining the authenticity of sources) and internal criticism (assessing the credibility of the content); (3) Interpretation of data; and (4) Historiography or historical writing.
The findings of this research are: (1) Wayang Dalang Ayatun was established in 2019, with its formal recognition occurring on January 23, 2021. It was founded by Dalang Ayatun and is known as Wayang Santri Kalimosodo to this day; (2) The development of Wayang Dalang Ayatun began with its establishment in 2019. In 2020, the focus was on cultural concepts that integrate religion, utilizing wayang golek as an effective medium for preaching that is accessible to the local community. In 2021, Wayang Santri was officially recognized on January 23. By 2022, Wayang Santri Kalimosodo had gained considerable recognition, and by 2023, Wayang Dalang Ayatun had acquired its own set of musical instruments; (3) The emergence of Wayang Dalang Ayatun and Santri Kalimosodo in Somawangi has had significant impacts on the arts, education, religion, and social aspects of the community.
