Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out how EFL teachers use ICT in English classes.
This study focused on two English teachers at SMPN 1 Kembaran as subjects. They were
made up of female English teachers who instruct seventh and eighth graders in the
language. The information was gathered through interviews and observation. Researchers
found that English teachers at SMP N Kembaran Banyumas employ a variety of ICT tools
in the classroom, primarily for presentation and assessment purposes, with their students in
grades seven and eight. Teachers show the Power Point presentation on an LCD and laptop.
The goal is to enable pupils to comprehend the subject matter clearly and to assist them in
developing higher order thinking skills. Additionally, ICT tools like Google Docs,
WhatsApp, and YouTube are used by EFL teachers in addition to media to assign and turn
in assignments. In this study discovered that teachers adopt a facilitator role by utilizing
ICT technologies to pique students' interest and boost their motivation and participation.
