Education is the main pillar in building a nation, because it is directly related to increasing the intellectual, social and economic capacity of its people. In general, moral Aqidah learning still tends to be focused on a normative-theocentric approach, which places more emphasis on doctrinal aspects and adherence to religious teachings without providing adequate space for critical reflection and in-depth understanding. Apart from that, teaching strategies that are predominantly indoctrinative in nature can also hinder the development of critical, creative and independent thinking skills which are important for developing students' full potential. Therefore, appropriate methods are needed in the learning process. In this study, researchers tested the effect of the round table discussion method on effectiveness in learning moral aqidah at MTS Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the round table discussion method on effectiveness in learning moral aqidah at MTS Muhammadiyah Purwokerto.
This research adopts a quantitative method that uses data in the form of numbers for statistical analysis. The research design used is a pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The collected data is then analyzed using various statistical techniques such as regression analysis, t-test, or analysis of variance, which allows researchers to test research hypotheses comprehensively.
The research results show a significant influence from the application of the Round Table Discussion method on learning effectiveness. The statistical test results show a p value <0.05 with a test value of 4.666, t = 2,06 which is greater than the value of 0.001. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted, namely that the use of the Round Table Discussion method has an influence on the effectiveness of learning moral aqidah at MTs Muhammadiyah Purwokerto.
