Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the stages of preparing science teaching
modules; (2) testing the validity of the science teaching module to improve
students' creative thinking skills; (3) testing the effectiveness of the science
teaching module to improve students' creative thinking skills. This research is
development research. The samples in this study were students from SD Negeri
Panimbang 04 Cimanggu and SD Islam Raden Fatah. The results of this research
are (1) the stage of preparing the IPAS teaching module consisting of 5 stages,
namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation
stage and evaluation stage; (2) the results of the feasibility test for the validation
of the science teaching module, the results of the material expert validation are
in the very valid category, the results of the media expert validation are in the
very valid category, the results of the practitioner validation are in the very valid
category; the results of the practicality of the science teaching module show that
the results of students' responses to the limited test are in the very practical
category, the results of students' responses to the broad test can be categorized
as very practical; (4) The results of the effectiveness test show that there is an
influence of using the IPAS teaching module to improve creative thinking skills.
