Abstract
Early Childhood Education is a crucial stage of education before entering primary
education. Focusing on the development of language skills in early childhood is
essential, as language serves as the primary foundation for communication and
learning. This article discusses various aspects of early childhood development,
particularly in the context of letter recognition and reading instruction. The
research was conducted at TK Pertiwi 2 Bogangin, with a focus on efforts to
enhance phonemic awareness through the use of letter blocks. The research method
employed in this study is Classroom Action Research. Analysis from the initial
condition to the end of Cycle II indicates a significant improvement in children's
abilities, with over 75% of children reaching the level of "very good development"
by the end of Cycle II. The conclusion of this research confirms the success of
classroom interventions in enhancing children's language skills through the use of
letter blocks.
