Language Development in Autistic Children Aged 3-4 Years (A Case Study
at SRAMBI PAUD Center in Purwokerto Timur) This study aims to
investigate the language development of autistic children aged 3-4 years at
the SRAMBI PAUD Center in East Purwokerto. It employed a qualitative
approach using a case study method. The subject of this study was a three year-
old autistic student who faced challenges in language development.
Data collection methods used in this research were observation, interviews,
and documentation. The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive
analysis. The findings from the data analysis and discussion reveal that the
language abilities of the autistic child had not developed by their age. Due
to the language disorders of the autistic child, steps for planning and
managing these disorders were established, including assessment, problem
identification, management planning, implementation, monitoring,
evaluation, and reflection. Post-therapy, the language development of the
child had shown significant improvements, such as the ability to express
desires and feelings, although with only 3-4 words, and beginning to
understand the concept of reward and punishment. The child also showed
interest in singing and leading prayers before activities.
