Abstract

This study investigated whether stamping with natural materials can enhance fine motor skills in
children in B2 (second-year students) class at TK (Kindergarten) Nur Islami, Sima. This
Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two cycles comprising three sessions. Problem solving
consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research
data were obtained through observation, interviews, and direct documentation of the research
subjects, which were 15 children in 82 class at TK Nur Islami, Sima, comprising ten boys and five
girls. Subsequently, the data were analyzed step by step using qualitative descriptive analysis of
the percentage from the initial study, Cycle I, and Cycle II. After the analysis, the results revealed
a significant improvement in children's fine motor skills development. In the initial condition of 15
children, the fine motor skills of children who were beginning to develop (MB) were saven children
(47%), children developing as expected (BSH) were six children (40%), and children with
excellent development (BSB) were two children (13%). After the first Cycle, out of 15 children, the
number of children beginning to develop (MB) decreased to 5 children (33%), while children
developing as expected (BSH) increased to 7 children (47%), and children with excellent
development (BSB) Increased to 3 children (20%). Furthermore, in the implementation of the
second Cycle, out of 15 children, the number of children beginning to develop (MB) decreased to
2 children (13%), while children developing as expected (BSH) remained at seven children (47%),
and children with excellent development continued to increase to 6 children (40%). Thus, there
was an improvement in children's fine motor skills from the initial study, Cycle I, and Cycle II by
87%, consisting of children developing as expected (BSH) at 47% and with excellent development
(BSB) at 40%. Therefore, the research results indicated a success rate in Cycle Il of 87% from the
75% completion threshold. In other words, the research was successful.
