This research aims to determine the need for teaching materials for fictional
stories containing character education assisted by Banyumas folklore media for
elementary school students. This type of research is development research or
Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this research
is Bord and Gall. The research phase was designed through ten stages, namely:
(1) preliminary study; (2) planning; (3) initial product development; (4) design
validation; (5) major revision; (6) revision of operational products; (8)
operational field tests; (9) final product revision; (10) disseminate and implement
products. The results of the research show that fictional story teaching materials
containing character education assisted by Banyumas folklore media for
elementary school students are suitable for use by elementary school students and
are effective in improving student learning outcomes.
