Abstract
This study aims to describe the forms of cultural elements contained within the poetry anthology "Glancing Back to Hometown" by students of the 2019 Class B PBSI. This is a qualitative descriptive nature and employs an anthropological literary approach. The data utilized consists of sentences or quotations that identify cultural elements. The data source is the poetry anthology "Menengok Kampung Halaman" by the 2019 Class B PBSI students. Data collection techniques involve reading and noting methods. The researcher employs theoretical triangulation to ensure data validity. Data analysis occurs in four stages: data organization, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research findings indicate that the poetry anthology encompasses cultural values in the form of linguistic systems, technological systems, livelihood systems, social organizational systems, knowledge systems, religious systems, and artistic systems. Within this study, the researcher identifies cultural elements based on the acquired data, comprising four cultural elements: first, the livelihood system; second, the knowledge system; third, the religious system; and fourth, the artistic system. The livelihood system in this research encompasses craftsmanship, vegetable vendors, farmers, and traditional sugar production. The knowledge system includes folklore and Indonesia's natural wealth. The religious system encompasses gratitude, beliefs, and Javanese traditions. Lastly, the fourth cultural element comprises traditional musical instruments and regional dances.
