Abstract

Based on the researcher’s observation at SD Negeri 4 Panusupan, music education
is part of the current curriculum, namely the independent curriculum, and is an
elective subject chosen by the school. This research employs the Classroom
Action Research (CAR) method. Data collection techniques include observation,
interviews, and documentation. The study identified inhibiting factors in a class of
23 students, where some students demonstarted lower academic achhievement
compared to their peers. Students faced challenges in understanding music
lessons, specifically related to the topics of musical scales and national songs. In
addition, there were inadequacies in the available facilities and infrastructure,
resulting in a less conducive learning environment.
