Abstract

The research aimed to examine the effect of the Jigsaw type cooperative
learning model on the social studies achienement of grade V students at SD IP
Tunas Bangsa Banjarnegara. The hypothesis test results indicated that the
calculated t-value (3.395) was higher than the t-table (2.032), indicating that the
Jigsaw type cooperative learning model significantly affected the social studies
achievement of grade V students. The research utilized a quantitative method with
an experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The
sample was selected using cluster random sampling, involving 26 students. Data
collection methods included tests, interviews, and documentation. Based on these
results, it can be drawn that the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model positively
affects the social studies achievement of grade V students in Theme 7 Sub-Theme 1
at SD IP Tunas Bangsa Banjarnegara.
