Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to find out the Teaching of Vocabulary Mastery
Using Anagram Games for Class VIII Students of SMP Negei 01 Moga. The
purpose of this study was to find out whether the Anagram Game is useful in
developing students' speaking skills in eight junior high school students. The Pre-
Experimental approach was used in this study, with pre-test and post-test designs.
Vocabulary tests were used to collect data. The population of this study was
students of class VIII junior high school in 2023, and the researchers used
purposive sampling from class VIII, which consisted of 32 students. Vocabulary
tests were used to collect data (to measure students' vocabulary mastery). The
researcher selects a class with the aim of giving a test to all students and
determining how well they know the vocabulary in that class. The data shows that
t0 (22.169) is greater than ttable (2.750). Thus the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected,
but the hypothesis (H1) is accepted. In other words, playing anagrams has a
significant effect on the vocabulary growth of class VIII students in one of the
junior high schools in Pemalang.
