This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Sustainable Food
House Program (KRPL) on household food security of the members of the
"Berkah" Women Farmers Group in Gumilir Village, North Cilacap
District, Cilacap Regency. The population consists of all members of the
"Berkah" Women Farmers Group in Gumilir Village, North Cilacap
District. Since the population is less than 100, the sampling method used is
census. Based on the analysis, the average age of the respondents is 46
years, with the most dominant educational level being junior high school
(SLTP), followed by senior high school (SLTA), and elementary school. The
average yard area owned by the group members is 39 square meters, with
an average household size of 3 to 4 people. The activities of the Sustainable
Food House Program (KRPL) include utilizing the yard for planting
vegetables, medicinal plants (Toga), and fruit trees. It also involves creating
vegetable seed gardens, training on yard utilization, selecting appropriate
plant types according to the yard's size, training on plant selection,
selecting suitable vegetable commodities, and choosing fruits to meet the
family's nutritional needs. The program also provides training on the
nutritional value of vegetables and fruits, local-based food processing, and
food diversification. Based on the analysis of program effectiveness, it is
evident that the KRPL program can significantly support household
foodsecurity in a highly effective manner.
