Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to develop e-comic-based teaching
materials for anecdotal text writing skills of grade X high school students. The
method in this development uses the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis,
Design, Develop, Implementation , and Evaluation . The subject of this study was a
grade X student of SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Purbalingga. The instruments used in this
study were interviews and questionnaires in the form of questionnaires on teacher and
student needs. Then the material and media assessment questionnaire by experts to
measure the validity of the material and media and the student response questionnaire
to measure product feasibility. Then for the feasibility test, this study involved class X
students with a total of 30 students. As for the feasibility test, scores for each aspect
were obtained. In the aspect of material presentation, it received a final average score
of 3.58 with feasible criteria. In the aspect of use, it gets a final average value of 3.15
with quite decent criteria. In the display aspect, it gets a final average score of 3.41
with feasible criteria. The linguistic aspect gets a final average score of 3.36 with
feasible criteria and for usage reactions gets a final average score of 3.29 with feasible
criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that e-comic-based teaching
materials for writing skills on anecdotal text materials are suitable to be used as
learning process aids.
