Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership style and
compensation on turnover intention through the commitment of the Moro Mall
Purwokerto sales assistant organization. The population used in this study were
all sales clerks at Moro Mall Purwokerto. The sample of this research was 133
sales assistants with the quota sampling technique using the proportional method.
For statistical tests and data processing is done using Partial Least
Square(SmartPLS). The results of this study indicate that: 1) leadership style has
a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, 2) compensation
has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, 3) leadership
style has a negative and insignificant effect on turnover intention, 4)
compensation has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, 5)
organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on turnover
intention, 6) organizational commitment is able to mediate the influence of
leadership style on turnover intention, 7) organizational commitment is able to
mediate the effect of compensation on turnover intention. The results of the fit
model show an NFI value of 0.664 so that it can be said that this research model
is 66.4% fit. The test results of the coefficient of determination (R2) shows that
the influence of leadership style, compensation, and organizational commitment to
turnover intention by 32.1%.
