Abstract
This study aims to improve the listening skills of children in Group A3 (first year
students) of TK (Kindergarten) AISYIYAH in Garung, Garung district, Wonosobo
Regency, during the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, using the
storytelling method. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted
over two cycles, each consisting of three meetings. The subjects of this study are
17 children from Group A3 of TK AISYIYAH Garung, comprising 7 boys and 10
girls. The Classroom Action Research was conducted over two cycles, each
consisting of three meetings. Data collection methods in this study included
observation, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative descriptive analysis was
used for data analysis. The research results showed that in the initial condition, 2
children (11.76%) were highly developed, and 3 children (17.64%) were
developing as expected. In Cycle I, there were 2 children (11.76%) highly
developed, and 5 children (29.41%) were developing as expected. In Cycle II, the
results indicated that 5 children (29.41%) were highly developed, and 8 children
(47.05%) were developing as expected. In other words, there was an improvement
from the initial study by 29.41%, in Cycle I by 41.17%, and in Cycle II by 76.47%.
