This study aims to find out the social conflicts depicted in the narrative. The
research utilizes a sociology-literary approach, focusing on the social conflict in the
'Cinta 2 Kodi' novel by Asma Nadia. The data comprised text, words, conversations,
and sentences related to the novel's social conflict. The primary data source was the
'Cinta 2 Kodi' novel by Asma Nadia. Data collection techniques included reading
and notation. The data analysis technique comprised data collection, reduction,
presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results elucidate the forms of social
conflict present in the 'Cinta 2 Kodi' novel by Asma Nadia and the factors causing
them. The novel presents three types of social conflicts, namely: (1) personal
conflict; (2) interpersonal conflicts, which include (a) conflict between Bagja and
Hidayat, (b) Bagja and Kartika, (c) Bagja and Aryani's father, (d) Bagja and Aryani,
(e) Bagja and his child, (f) Anton and Kartika, (g) Farid and Kartika, and (h) Kartika
and Farid's mother; (3) intergroup conflicts, which encompass: (a) government vs.
citizens, (b) conflict between Bagja's family and Aryani's family, (c) conflict
between Kartika's family and Farid's family, (d) Farid's company vs. the
government, and (e) the lower class community vs. the government. The underlying
causes of these social conflicts in the 'Cinta 2 Kodi' novel by Asma Nadia include
family, social environment, and education.
