Abstract

Mathematical Literacy skills help someone solve mathematical
problems in real-life contexts and make accurate decisions. This study to
describe mathematical literacy abilities in terms of learning styles of MTs
(Islamic Junior High SCool) Mu’allimin Sruweng students. This type of
research is qualitive descriptive research. The purposive sampling method by
taking each of the three respondents from the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic
learning styles groups, is used as the sampling technique. Questionnaires, tests,
and interviews are used to collect the data. The daya reduction, presentation
and conclusion drawing are used to analyze the data. The results of this study
indicate that respondesnts with visual learning styles and auditory learning
styles and kinesthetic learning styles have been able to meet the indicators of
mathematical literacy by solving differebt problems. Meanwhile, the student
with the auditory learning styles fulfilled the mathematical literacy indicators
by completing question 1, 2, and 3. The student with auditory learning style
fulfilled the mathematical literacy indicators by completing question 1 and 2.
The, the other with the kinesthetic learning style could fulfil the mathematical
literacy indicators by completing question 1.
