This study aimed to improve students' learning activities in geography subjects using the group investigation leaming model. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR). In this study, the samples were students of grade X IPS (Social Educations) class 2 semester II at SMA Negeri 1 Patikraja. The sample was 35 students consisting of 22 female and 13 male students. The data collection was conducted through direct observation during the learning process, using an observation sheet with indicators of student activity. The result indicated that using the group investigation learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Patikraja could improve students leaming activities This was evidenced by an increase in students' active criteria in the first cycle from 3% to 8.6% and the second cycle from 20% to 51.4% So, it could be concluded that the implementation of leaming using the group investigation model could improve students leaming activities in grade X IPS class 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Patikraja.
