The style and function of figurative language are the main topics of this study. This study aims to describe the figurative language and its function in the lyrics of the album Ideologi Sikap Otak by Ahmad Band. This study seeks to explain the figurative language used Ideologi Sikap Otak Album by Ahmad Band and its function. The research of Ideologi Sikap Otak Album by Ahmad Band on figurative language and language function is categorized as a qualitative descriptive study. A stylistic approach to language style based on whether or not the meaning is direct was employed in this study. The data used are words, phrases, clauses, and sentences from Ideologi Sikap Otak by Ahmad Band that contain figurative language and language functions. The album Ideologi Sikap Otak by Ahmad Band , entitled (1) Distorsi, (2) Ode Buat Extrimist, (3) Sudah, (4) Impotent, (5) Rahasia, dan (6) Interupsi were used as the data source of the study. The Uninvolved Conversation Observation Technique (SLBC) and note-taking techniques were used in this study's data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative analysis technique to classify the data based on the type of figurative language and language function. Based on data analysis, the findings of this study revealed that there are seven figurative language types, including equation or simile, metaphor, antonomasia, irony, cynicism, sarcasm, and satire, in the song lyrics of Ideologi Sikap Otak by Ahmad Band's album. Additionally, five language functions namely, emotive, referential, poetic, aphoristic, and conative, were identified from the language style
