Abstract
There are some challenges faced by English Teachers in doing classroom assessment. This research was conducted to find out English teachers‟ classroom assessment challenges in EFL class. This research belonged to survey research in which questionnaire was used as the instruments to gain the data from the field. The subject of this research was 28 English teachers of Junior high school in Banyumas Regency. This study found that based on the result the level of teachers‟ challenges is in Medium Level with 42.35%. It means that the English teachers do not have the high problems in applying classroom assessment the highest classroom assessment challenges faced by the teachers was in understanding the types of feedback in classroom assessment with 75% and the next problem is in making the instruction for the classroom assessment with 77.08%.
