Abstract

Education is very important. Schools should be able to make human resources better and useful for future society. Thus, the knowledge taught in schools must be well absorbed by students so that it can be applied. However, boredom to high and low scores obtained by students can occur precisely because some teachers do not use appropriate learning strategies or models, so that the delivery of material feels boring for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in learning outcomes of PAI subjects after using the Jigsaw learning model in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Tonjong.
This research is a type of classroom action research with data collection techniques of observation, tests and documentation. Where the first data is obtained through direct observation of the object under study, then a test is carried out on the object of research as a form of evaluation to measure the extent to which the learning objectives are achieved up to documentation about the objective conditions at school. Which then from the data analyzed qualitatively to obtain a general conclusion.
The results of this study indicate that the Jigsaw learning model can improve the learning outcomes of PAI subjects in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Tonjong. This can be seen from the assessment of student learning outcomes in cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, the number of students who completed was 19 children, while those who had not completed were 11 students. Then it increased in the second cycle the number of students who finished as many as 27 children while those who had not completed as many as 5 children. In this second cycle, students who complete are in accordance with the success indicators, namely the minimum score of 75. Using the Jigsaw learning model is proven to be able to facilitate students in understanding the material during the learning process.
