Abstract

The role of teachers and parents is immensely needed for the implementation of the remote learning process. This study aims to analyze (1) the role of teachers and parents in helping students on the remote learning process at grade IV of SD Negeri 3 Dermaji and (2) the constraints encountered when students are involved in remote learning. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The participants were teachers, parents, and fourth-grade students; data collection methods were observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted to obtain information about the teachers' and parents' role in helping the students on remote learning, and information about constraints encountered during the learning. The data validity test was the triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of this study indicate that teachers and parents have carried out their roles according to their respective roles. Teachers play a role in the remote learning process and parents play a role in helping students when carrying out the remote learning process. Some parents have shown a role in helping their
children in remote learning. The constraints experienced during the remote learning process among teachers, parents, and students are almost the same.
