Abstract
The research describes the work ethic principles of the main character in Insya Allah Youll Find Your Way novel by Hengki Kumayandi. It is a qualitative descriptive research. The data source is the novel entitled Insya Allah Youll Find Your Way by Hengki Kumayandi. Meanwhile, the data for the research are words, sentences, and dialogues consisting work ethic principles. The research uses the sociology of literature approach. The data are collected through reading and recording technique. The data validity is checked through triangulation. The data analysis technique involves: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion. The research result indicates that there are 4 work ethic principles showed by the main character, Bram, namely: (1) work is a mandate, (2) work is an actualization, (3) work is a worship, and (4) work is an honour.
