The condition of education in the present era really needs attention because it is very apprehensive. Especially in the current pandemic, which makes students spend more time at home so that students get less supervision, attention and motivation to learn than time at school which causes students to forget their duties as students. One of the reasons for this is low self-esteem. Therefore, educators, both teachers and parents at home, should better understand their students so that they can develop self-esteem in the individual. Thus the purpose of this study is to know and understand the concept of self-esteem according to Abraham Maslow in achieving the learning objectives of Islamic religious education so that it can lead students to achieve the learning goals that have been aspired and can make students who excel.
This research is a type of qualitative research through library research with data collection techniques from various sources, including books, journals, articles and other reading sources related to research known as the documentation method. This study applies content analysis data analysis or content analysis which focuses more on literature review. Content analysis is a research technique for creating replicable inferences, and validating data by paying attention to the context.
The result of this study are that in order to achieve the learning objectives of Islamic Education, it is necessary to develop self esteem that exsist in educators and students. Educators should increase awareness of their role as a teacher, whose duties are not only limited to providing material, but always thinking (tazzakur) creatively and innovatively as well as giving direction, giving motivation and rewards so that student can realize their potential by himself so thaht he can achieve the goals of learning Islamic religious education that he aspires.
