The research aimed to describe the students' proportional reasoning skills in grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang viewed from mathematical disposition. The research subjects were the students of grade VII H. They were selected using the purposive sampling technique. This research used 2 subjects from each category of high, medium, and low disposition. The data were collected using questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that the students in the high disposition category mastered the four indicators of proportional reasoning skills, namely determining a known value, understanding the relationship between a quantity and another quantity, using appropriate strategies in solving problems, and looking for unknown values. The students in the medium disposition category had not mastered the four indicators of proportional reasoning skill because they still had misunderstandings about the relationship between one quantity and another and using the wrong strategy in one of the questions. The students in the low disposition category had not mastered the four indicators of proportional reasoning skill because they were not able to determine known values, misunderstood the relationship of one quantity to another quantity, and incorrectly used a strategy on one of the questions. The students in the high disposition category belonged to level 5, the medium one belonged to level 1, and the low one belonged to level 1 of proportional reasoning.
