This research was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Purbalinga Wetan. This study aimed to determine the teacher's role in the implementation of counseling services in order to develop the students' religious character through online learning at SD Negeri 1 Purbalingga Wetan. Qualitative research methods were used in this research. Triangulation of data and technique was used as the data validation test. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of 1) Observation, 2) Interview, and 3) Documentation. The results showed that teachers at SD Negeri 1 Purbalingga Wetan had carried out their roles as teachers, mentors, advisors, and as good motivators in developing students' religious character. That situation motivated the students in practicing worship. The implementation of counseling services was conducted through individual and classical counseling. Teachers' support and the cooperation between the school and the student's parents are considered as the factors that influence the religious character. Through online learning, the fifth-grade teacher of SD Negeri 1 Purbalingga Wetan made a checklist of students who practiced the worship. The checklist was used to control students' worship practice at home with supervision from students' parents.
