Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive teaching materials "Batulisan" to increase student participation and learning achievement in basic reading and writing materials for elementary school students. Development of interactive teaching materials "Batulisan" which is presented in the form of text, images, and learning videos. The development of teaching materials is aimed at first grade students at the elementary school level, namely at SD Negeri 1 Bancarkembar and SD Negeri 4 Bancarkembar. This study uses the research and development (R&D) method developed by Borg and Gall. The research stage was designed in ten stages, namely: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) develop preliminary form a product, (4) (preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operational product revision, (8) operational field testing, (9) final product revision, (10) dissemination and implementation. The results showed that the expert's assessment on the aspects of content, language, and appearance of interactive teaching materials "Batulisan" was included in the very feasible criteria. Interactive teaching materials "Batulisan" are also effective in improving student learning outcomes in preliminary reading and writing materials. Thus, the interactive teaching material "Batulisan" is very suitable for use by grade I elementary school students.
