Mathematical creative thinking skills are the students' thinking skills in
finding various solution in solving a mathematics problem. This descriptive
qualitative research aimed to describe mathematical creative thinking skills viewed
from the adversity quotient with the elevent-grade students of IPS 1 in SMA N 1
Purbalingga as the subjects.. The subjects were categorized into 3 categories of
high AQ, fair AQ, and low AQ. Three samples were taken using the purposive
sampling technique from each category to be the respondents of this research. The
data were collected using questionnaires, written tests, interviews, and
documentation which were conducted online. The data were then analyzed using
data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this research included:
(1)students with high AQ were able to give a solution to solve different mathematics
problems with detailed systematic answers;(2) students with fair AQ were able to
give more than one solution to solve mathematics problems with less complete
systematic answers, and (3)students with low AQ were able to give one solution to
solve mathematics problem with a systematic answer even though it was not perfect
yet.
