This research aimed to describe the forms and the causing factors of the main characters inner conflicts in the novel. This was descriptive qualitative research with a literature psychological approach. The data source of this research was Dear Allah novel by Diana Febi and the data were the texts containing the main characters inner conflicts which were collected using reading and noting technique. The validity of this research used theory triangulation, while the data analysis technique of this research included: 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) data conclusion drawing/verification. The results found that: first, the forms of the inner conflicts included the conflict of approach such as the main characters (Naira) feeling of hesitation whether to let her feeling go or develop her feeling for Wildan, and whether to keep her feeling or let it go. Then, the conflict of avoidance such as the hesitation of either feeling envious of Zulfas perfect beauty or being lost because of her love. The last conflict was the conflict of approach-avoidance such as the feeling of hesitation whether to surrender herself to Allah or get hurt over Zulfa and Wildans happiness; second, the causing factors included self-perception such as Naira and Wildans first meeting, the miscarriage that Naira had several months before, early deprivation, a pathogenic family structure which included poor communication between parents and children, and maladaptive relationship.
