This study discussed the use of the word square model on students' learning motivation. Motivation is one of the essential elements that students must-have, as it is needed in the learning process to achieve an expected result. This study aimed to know the use of the word square model on students' learning motivation. The type of study was a literature study, which is a series of activities related to collecting references, reading, taking notes, and processing material methods to obtain relevant information. This study was an analysis of the literature about the use of the word square learning model, which discussed related articles and learning motivation theories. The collecting data in this study obtained from the process of literature study on related literature by using the word square learning model. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the use of the word square model can stimulate students' motivation and they can achieve their learning goals because teachers can provide learning actions based on the students' needs such as students' social needs, self-actualization, encouragement, and achievement.
