Abstract
The background of this research is the lack of discipline of students during distance learning of social studies subject at SD Negeri Brebeg Cilacap. This study aims to analyze the distance learning content of social studies lessons on the discipline of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Brebeg Cilacap.The type of research used is descriptive qualitative phenomenological method. The data collection process used interview, observation and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique uses the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that students who have a high discipline attitude feel happy and can participate in online social studies learning with enthusiasm and discipline. Internet media is used as a learning resource to increase knowledge. Students who do not have a high enthusiasm for learning and lack discipline always find it difficult to participate in online learning for social studies subject matter. Internet media and smartphones are often used to play. The conclusion is that distance learning provides positive and negative impacts for teachers, students, and parents. The positive impacts in question include: teachers and students become accustomed to using information media, students can get more information about lessons from the internet, train students' discipline who have a passion for learning, and learning time is easier to manage. The lack of discipline of students is influenced by internal factors, namely: feeling bored with the distance learning model and low interest in learning. External factors, namely: no parental attention in the learning process, constraints on learning facilities and infrastructure.
