This research aimed to describe mathematical communication skills viewed from self-efficacy on seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 01 Kroya. This descriptive qualitative research used miles and Hubermanmodel which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The subjects of this research were the students from Grade VII F who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. In this research, the students were categorized into the category of low self-efficacy, fair self-efficacy, and high self-efficacy. Two respondents were chosen from each category to be the subjects of interview. The data were collected using questionnaire, test, interview, and documentation. The data validation test used technique triangulation. The results of this research included:(1)subjects with low self-efficacy were only able to understand and finish the questions; (2)subjects with fair self-efficacy were able to understand the questions, write down the known information, making systematic finishing step, and finishing the questions;(3)subjects with high self-efficacy were able to understand questions, write down the known information, analyze the questions into the formula, making systematic finishing step, finishing questions, and making result conclusion.
