Abstract

The background of this research was the student's low scientific behavior and mathematics learning achievement on angle measurement on fourth grade of Class B of SD Negeri 2 Bojongsari. This research aimed to improve the students' scientific behavior and learning achievement using quantum teaching model. This was a classroom action research with two cycles consisting of two meetings in each cycle that included planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted in second semester of Academic Year 2018/2019 on the material of angle measurement. The subjects of this research involved 21 fourth graders from Class B consisting of 11 male students and 10 female students. The instruments of this research were observation sheets, scientific behavior scale sheet, and students' evaluation. This research showed improvement of student's scientific behavior that could be seen from the average score in cycle I that was 2.76 with good criteria to 3.38 with very good criteria in cycle II. There was also improvement of students' learning achievement that could be seen from the average score in cycle I that was 65.70 with 40.48% learning completeness to 77.16 with 71.43% learning completeness in cycle II. The results showed that the implementation of quantum teaching model was able to improve the students' scientific behavior and learning achievement on angle measurement.
