This study aims to describe the ability of PBSI UMP students in writing drama scripts. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data in this study is the value of students in transforming short stories with environmental themes into drama scripts. The data source of this research is drama script. The respondents in this study were PBSI semester IV students in 2019. The data collection techniques in this study used a test. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the ability of PBSI UMP students in writing drama scripts was said to be sufficient. It is known based on the results of the assessment that has been done. Of the 65 students there were 22 respondents in the good category with a percentage of 33.85%. Then 29 out of 65 students are in the sufficient category with a percentage of 44.62% and 14 of 65 students are in the less category with a percentage of 21.53%.
