This study aims to examine the effect of the social values, job market consideration, and personality on the accounting students career selection as a public accountant at colleges in Purwokerto. The population is accounting student at Universities of Purwokerto. The sampling method in this study was stratified random sampling with a criteria of accounting students who have taken or on progress taking professional ethics subject. Analysis technique used this research was multiple linear regressions with significant level of (α) 0,05. The questionnaires used in this study are 80 out of 80 questionnaires.
This result of this study shows that social values has no positive affect on the accounting students career selection as a public accountant. Consideration of the job market, and personality has positive affect on the accounting students career selection as a public accountant.
