Tourism is considered as a service industry as a means of booster for economic world. Its development engages other sectors to develop as well for their product shall support the tourism industry, in example: agriculture, livestock, plantation, people's crafts, increasing employment opportunities and so on. Community participation is included in community intervention, because community participation takes a part in processing community empowerment. The purpose of this research is to figure out the level of public participation in developing tourism
object of Curug Putri ( a waterfall named Putri) located in Mendala village, Sirampog sub-district of Brebes regency.
The research analysis uses descriptive qualitative, with primary and secondary data. Data are processed by editing, encoding , and scoring data. The research method uses sample; the sample determined by using purposive sampling technique. People of Mendala actively take a part in tourism activities as traders,
parking-man, transportation providers, and Mendala Village Government also becomes the research sample.
This research results a high community participation in developing tourism object of Curug Putri located in Mendala village, Sirampog sub-district of Brebes regency. Community participation at the planning stage is very high. The implementation stage is also in high category, high stage in enjoyment category, and high stage for evaluation category. From above explanation, it can be viewed that community participation in in developing tourism object of Curug Putri located in Mendala village is categorized high.
